Review 01 - Maruti Suzuki Swift… Excitement like never before.

Third-gen Swift to be sold in 12 different variants. This is a trusted car for every Indian buyer who is looking for a perfect hatchback. The car will be available in petrol and diesel engines. However, this time there is a little spice to add. For the first time in India, Maruti Swift will be available in automatic variant on both petrol and diesel engine.

The most loved hatchback, the Swift, was launched at Auto Expo 2018 with a starting price of INR 4.99 lakh for the base variant. The top variant will cost you around INR 8.29 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi).

The build and design of the Swift 2018 is fresh and appealing. The color shade “Solid fire red” is breathtaking and I am sure it will be a love at first sight for everyone. The interiors of the car have a black theme which gives it a more sporty and appealing look. The car is packed with lots and lots of features like 7 inch touch screen infotainment system, projector headlamps and daytime running lamps and a reverse parking camera. Maruti Suzuki has not compromised on safety features, the base variants come with safety features like ABS with EBD and brake assist, airbags and Isofix child seat mounts. It’s only the beauty that has enhanced; there is no change when it comes to engine. The car still runs on 1.2-litre petrol and it still makes 83hp and 113Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced diesel makes 75hp and 190Nm. The five-speed automatic option is available on both engines, what else would you ask for considering today’s traffic condition in all metro cities.

The performance and fuel economy has increased all thanks to the lighter body; the car is 40kg lighter and larger (40mm wider, 20mm longer wheelbase and 24mm more headroom) than the previous generation model. Boot space has also increased by 58 liters, so pack your bags and take the car for a spin over the weekend and for long trips.
